Open Graphics Course

2 day Graphic Recording Open Course. This course aims to give participants the skills and confidence to develop a useful set of images in order to make information more accessible, and to produce a live and accurate graphic record of meetings, discussions and interviews. Both days will afford lots of opportunity to experiment, practise and learn from each other in a fun but safe environment - No artistic talent required! The first day of the course is Basic Graphic Recording and covers; ● Learning to use pens ● Handling paper/protecting surfaces ● Building up a library of images including; basic lines and shapes, headlining, buildings, people, transport, animals. The second day is Applied Graphics and covers ● Portraying emotion using shape and colour ● Recording ‘live’ information; pace and flow of information, picking out key points, using words and images together. The anticipated outcomes for organisations are that ● People who don’t use formal means of communication will be included in meetings● People will be encouraged to make their contributions in a more creative way ● People will be able to see their contributions being recorded and point out any inaccuracies ● An accessible permanent record of meetings will be produced.
