Me Too!

All means all - this has been the battle cry for inclusion for years. Yet the reality is that most people with the label of profound and multiple learning difficulties are more likely to find themselves in nursing homes, day centres and special schools than anyone else. Perversley, their families are just as likely to recieve some of the lowest levels of funding available. Whilst this is the case for many, this conference focuses on some of the great things happening for people with profound and multiple learning difficulties. Valuing people, and Our Health, Our Care, Our Say both set a clear agenda of all people leading the life they want based on a clear person centred framework. Some organisations and families are making this happen and this conference showcases some of the excellent practice around the country as well as highlighting some of the significant gaps which still exist.
