Promoting The Health and Wellbeing of People With Learning Disabilities: Overcoming the The Obstacles

The Unit for Development in Intellectual Disabilities (UDID) and the Special Projects Team (SPT) from Bro Morgannwg NHS Trust present their Joint Annual Conference entitled: “PROMOTING THE HEALTH AND WELLBEING OF PEOPLE WITH LEARNING DISABILITIES: OVERCOMING THE OBSTACLES” The programme will include a keynote presentation from Margaret Flynn, (Senior Lecturer, Sheffield University), who will draw on her family and work experience to outline what matters if we are all to live well into the future. She will highlight key issues, using the findings of a study of the palliative care experiences of adults with learning disabilities and examples of the work of individuals, families and services which strives to ensure better health care for this service user group.
