Course overview: The course will consider the following: • The practical preparations for the school and service in preparing for the young person making the transition to secondary. • Assessment of the young person’s needs at transition. • Curriculum adaptation methods to support efficient access to the fast pace of the secondary curriculum. • Understanding the importance and nature of the unique curriculum in supporting the young person at secondary in relation to their access to examinations.. • Understanding the application process for applying for access arrangements for examinations. • The role of technology in supporting the young person’s access.
