Access to Examinations and qualifications

Ensuring equal Access to tests and examinations is central to the effective inclusion of children and young people with special needs and disability in education. This course will provide an overview of the main access arangements and will also discuss the likely impact of the Disability Discrimination Act 2005, which will extend DDA legislation into the area of general qualifications from September 2007. Although the primary focus of the course is on the needs of candidates with visual impairment, it will be of relevance to anyone involved in teaching or supporting learners with SEN and disability
