Transition: Revaluing People

This is the only opportunity to report and discuss the findings of this major 3 year research project. Commissioned by Nottingham Mencap, this project provides evidence from a cohort of 28 young people with severe learning disabilities before, during and after they left special schools. Taking a 360 degree perspective the researchers interviewed and observed the families, the staff who supported them and service managers. This conference will be of interest to all professionals working with young people with learning disabilities in health, educational or social contexts. Families who have experienced transition or expect to in forthcoming years are most welcome. Cost: £50 (low cost due to a substantial subsidy from the Big Lottery Fund)
