Understanding the Power of Play

The aim of the course is to heighten awareness that non-directive and directive play can be valuable tools for children with learning difficulties and ASD. It will provide you with the opportunity to acquire basic understanding of the principles and practice of interactive play intervention and play therapy and provide you with play opportunities to re-discover the powerful nature of play. Course members should expect to share play experiences through group work and be involved in a range of practical activities that may create mess. The aim for the day is to play and have fun re-awakening your inner child through play exploration, enabling you to truly understand and appreciate the influence and impact of play for children.
