Autism and Sensory Issues
This event looks specifically at the sensory issues that can affect individuals with an autistic spectrum disorder. It cover’s hyper and hypo sensitivity and encourages staff to focus interventions and environments from a sensory point of view. By the end of the day delegates will have more insight into the autistic person’s life and will raise awareness of everyday events that can become stressful and aversive.
