Mental health issues and autistic spectrum disorder
This event will give an overview of the nature of the core difficulties associated with ASD in communication, social interaction, inflexible thinking and behaviour and sensory difficulties and differences. It will also explore a range of mental health issues that may affect individuals with ASD and the underpinning reasons that cause them, and will also consider ways of helping people with ASD understand themselves better, develop coping strategies for dealing with these mental health issues and with the underlying autism related causes.
