Developing and sustaining community connections

This event will look at how people with learning disabilities can be supported to meet new people and be involved in and contribute to their local community. The day will look at getting the right support to make real connections that are sustainable. The day will include skills on how to: • Build Circles of Support • Set up mini enterprises • Develop a Time Bank • Find local accessible and affordable options (community mapping) • Become a volunteer • Use community connectors
