Whose choice is it anyway? supporting choice and decision making
The balance of power for people with learning disabilities often sits
with others, many decisions are being made for the person rather
than with them or by them.
This event is designed to look at ways of redressing this and
finding ways of involving the person more in both everyday
choices and decisions and in the bigger important decisions in
their life. It will provide delegates with a tool to use that will clearly
identify what decisions are made and by whom in the person’s life.
This information can form a separate document or be include in a
support plan.
