Supporting individuals with self injurious behaviour

Considerable study and research has been undertaken regarding the incidence of self injury amongst individuals with a learning disability. This mini conference will explore the relationship between the different functions served by such behaviour and appropriate support approaches with a view to separating fact from fiction. Key themes such as functional analysis and emergent management methodologies discussed during the day. There will be the opportunity to share issues, challenges and best practice to enable all delegates to develop their approaches knowledge.
