Moving On Up Information Day
This is an exciting new website for young people who are moving on to adult life!
It is especially for young people from black and minority ethnic communities. It can be used to find out lots of information,
to share real stories and to find out about activities and any events. It can be used by anyone but especially young people
with learning disabilities and their friends and supporters. It is also a website for anyone who works with young people,
teachers, Connexions staff, youth workers and social care workers.
So that you can get a real feel for what it’s all about, we are having an information / training day in Sheffield on
28th June at Hallam University.
The day will have interesting speakers in the morning talking about what young people need to know at this stage in their
life and how websites can help.
Then there is lunch and in the afternoon there is a chance to use the website and get a real understanding of what it does.
The event is free for young people and their supporters. There will be a £10 charge for professionals to be collected on the
day (to cover lunch and admin).
